Social media is to blame for many of the clues: In 2016, Twitter users compiled photos of Comstock's leg tattoo and Marshmello in ripped jeans that apparently revealed the same ink.
Marshmello's identity has been an open secret in the EDM community for some time. Said one: "It's absolutely the same guy." Marshmello's identity was also confirmed to Forbes by several industry insiders, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
Comstock is similarly listed as the sole manager of Dotcom Music, LLC, the organization attached to his previous moniker. Formed in Delaware in August 2015, the only manager listed on the company is Christopher Comstock.
